There
are many different reasons to make a dress memorable. It can be because is extravagant,
super sexy, glamorous, or even because it’s a huge mess! This one thought is definitely
memorable for its elegance. I’m not a Julia Roberts´s fan but I have to agree
that this Valentino dress she wore in 2001 is one of the most elegant gowns I’ve
seen in the Oscars.
Valentino´s
purpose was to remember some classic fashion icons such as like Jackie Kennedy and Elizabeth
Taylor, women that he has dressed in the past. And the purpose
was truly accomplished.

What
did you think about the Oscars? I’m not talking about the winners of course but
about the funny part of the event… the red carpet!! J
As
always I was very anxious to see the dresses and I must say almost everyone decided
to dress simple. I think simplicity was the big thing of the night and the
white is the color that reign in my favorite gowns.
I
have four favorites…
- Zoe
Zaldanha in this awesome Alexis Mabille Couture dress.
I love this dress, the colors, the top is beautiful and it stands out from the
other dresses.
- Charlize
Theron in Christian Dior Haute Couture dress.
Stunning! She could be the Oscar statue herself!
- Jennifer Lawrence in Dior
Haute Couture dress. Gorgeous! What a beautiful woman she is and this dress
looks perfect on her. Love it!
- Naomi Watts wore this sexy Armani Prive dress. I think she was
brave wearing such a different dress and she did it great. The dress is awesome
and the cut is amazing.
After these four favorites I
have my second favorites J
Dresses I do like and deserve to be here. Beautiful woman wioth gorgeous gowns
that are not in my top favorites because the other ones were too good.
- Amy Adams in Oscar de la
Renta. I like this dress and special I like the color of this dress, it’s a grey
light blue that look awesome in her skin color. The dress is beautiful and its
very glamorous.
- Jessica Chastain wore an Armani
Prive dress. I think she will be one of the best dressed but for me is not a
top favorite. Anyway she looks perfect and so glamorous.
- Sandra Bullock in Marchesa.
She looks really good. She always looks good right? I love this lace dress and looks
stunning on her.
- Jennifer Aniston in
Valentino. I´ve heard bad things about this dress, that we have seen it before,
that looks too simple, bla bla bla. I think she looks beautiful, the color
looks awesome on her and I think the dress is simple but very princess like and
Jennifer rarely does that. So yes it’s one of my second favorites.
- Jane Fonda in Versace. I
think this dress is amazing! Not only should we not forget that Jane Fonda is
75 years old but also that this dress is truly beautiful. Love the color, the
fit, the cut, awesome!
Ok these were my Oscars
favorites but I’m not finished yet! I’m crazy for these two dresses worn at the
Vanity Fair party. As you may know some of the famous actors that were not
invited for the ceremony go to this party and I can’t forget to mention these
two actresses that look stunning!!
- Elizabeth
Banks in Alexander
McQueen. This dress is AMAZING! I wish it have gone to the
Oscars, it would be my favorite of all. The color, the print, OMG Love it!!
- Lily Collins in a Zuhair Murad dress. This girl is becoming such a gorgeous woman. This dress is beautiful! She looks like a diva in a good way. It’s one of my favorite dresses of the night.

Super model + Versace + red = Bombshell! This is a formula that will never fail!
It was the year 1991 and Cindy Crawford was still married
with Hollywood superstar Richard Gere, the pair showed at the Oscar´s night and
all eyes were on her. This Versace dress made history and was voted more than
once one of the best red carpet gowns of all time.

At the Oscars ceremony in 2006 Michelle Williams
showed up with this wonderful Vera Wang dress. This
dress made such a huge success that was considered
by Cosmopolitan magazine as one of the
best dresses ever seen at the Oscars ceremony.
The color, the silhouette, and the way fits Michelle´s body are all together important factors for this designation.
This classic Vera Wang gown is lovely but I think it’s definitely the bold saffron colour, sultry red lips and deco jewels that make the look really pop.

To some people it was the night´s hit to others though
it was a disaster. This Givenchy Couture dress worn by Cate Blanchett at the
2011 Oscar ceremony was the buzz of the evening.
I personally loved the dress and looked beautifully in Cate. I am suspicious because I love this actress but regardless the preferences I consider this dress super original, beautiful and stunning.
The pleated lilac chiffon gown embroidered with pearls details! And the yellow over the lilac doing such a cool contrasting color. How fantastic!

Actually all Givenchy 2011 spring
collection was absolutely amazing. One of the most original and creative collections
in my personal opinion.
Florence Welch and Liv Tyler, two other celebrities
wearing this amazing collection. The one worn by Florence could be a “Remember this”
too; I loved this dress so much.

Let’s go
back to 1999 and to the Academy Awards. All the attentions were at one single
person…. Gwyneth Paltrow. Not only because she won the Oscar for best actress
but also because she was wearing a true princess dress.
It’s known
by the Pink Dress and is considered one of the greatest dresses in the history of the red carpet.
The Grace Kelly style, and the fact of being pink (a color not used to be seen
in the red carpet events) gave Paltrow the credit of bringing the pink back
into fashion.
Its far for
being a favorite for me, actually I love her style and there is so many more
dresses she wear that I adore, but this one is for sure one to be remembered.

This lady has the gift of taking the stage of all red carpets. It would be easy
to name not only one but several stunning looks used by her but this one, Oh
My!
This
night, when Marion Cotillard walked with this magnificent Jean Paul Gaultier
model eyes were glued on this white and silver mermaid inspired. The dress was printed with fish scales and laboriously hand-embroidered.
Undoubtedly a piece of art!
Plus
she took the Oscar home… what a night!
